I'll stamp all over 'legitimate boxer' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

Anthony Joshua will face Jake Paul in an eight-round match which will be broadcast live on the streaming platform.

British boxer Joshua declared he will "overwhelm entirely" Jake Paul and "break" the American as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for next month's boxing match.

Former twice world boxing king Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge disparity - at Miami's arena on 19 December.

Fighter's Attitude

"I'm going to break his face and damage his physique. My goal is to show I'm the better fighter," Joshua, 35, declared.

"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to genuinely try to injure him. That's my intention."

Respectful Interaction

In spite of these statements, a composed Anthony Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - normally recognized for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.

Jake Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and described him as "a joke" after Ngannou rejected a fight offer.

Taking Aim at Tyson Fury

Anthony Joshua, at the same time, criticized British opponent Fury - and declined a large bet 'The Gypsy King' states he will put on a Paul win.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he's present here," Joshua commented.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Opponent

In spite of declaring he will damage his opponent, Joshua declined to talk badly about his opponent's fighting skills.

"Jake Paul is a serious fighter," he said.

Jake Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or declining opponents since becoming pro.

He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

However, the inexperienced fighter continues to be one of the sport's biggest commercial attractions, frequently receiving massive paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28 year old predicted a stoppage in round four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated Joshua–Fury fight, which is apparently being planned for 2026.

"It will be myself against Tyson Fury in the coming year," Jake Paul said.

Physical Difference

As the two fighters met for the customary confrontation, with their height and weight contrast on show, it emphasized just how surprising this whole event is - and how remarkable it is that the match is actually going ahead.
